Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer related deaths in America. Colorectal is also known as colon cancer, rectal cancer, or bowel cancer.

Unfortunately-- firefighters are at risk for colorectal cancer. Diesel exhaust is connected with rectal cancer. At a firehouse, it is so easy for diesel exhaust to sneak into the firefighters' living quarters

Fortunately, colorectal cancer is more likely to be diagnosed early following routine medical screenings, such as colonoscopy, and certain stool tests.

Symptoms of colorectal cancer: blood in your stool, stomach pains, consistent cramps, unexplained weight loss.
